A YEAR ON CAMP - MAKE A DIFFERENCE
Coolamatong Internships are a year of growth and ministry for 18-24 year old young people. Our commitment is to build your skills as a Christian leader through outdoor adventure camping. Together, we’ll give many kids and young people the opportunity to experience God’s creation, develop their own skills, and discover more about themselves and their worth.
Why would I do an internship?
The Coolamatong team is a supportive community that will encourage and challenge you to be the best you can be while you make life-long memories. Being on camp is fun! For us, it's also a unique time to share our faith through words and actions. The key is building relationships.
Through the structure of our program, you are trained in leadership through running outdoor adventure activities, discipled in your faith and empowered to build strong interpersonal skills. You can also work towards qualifications in Outdoor Leadership or Christian Ministry. You will complete nationally recognised training in First Aid, Bronze Medallion and Food Safety.
What does it look like?
You'll build relationships and run activities for students from Year 3 to Year 10 and have the opportunity to engage with children and young people from a diverse range of backgrounds. We have two distinct campsites only a few hundred metres apart and offer a variety of camping experiences. Activities on offer include; canoeing, stand up paddle boarding, hikes, low ropes, farming, climbing, abseiling, cycling, raft building and more.
